37 weeks, officially full term...
It is official. I have reached full term which means that our little girl could be born healthy any day now. It is weird to think that we could have her anytime between right now and January 16th (which is 2 wks past our due date and they typically induce if you go that long....let's all pray I don't go that long!). That seems like such a long gap of time. I think Josh and I are both as ready as we are ever going to be so she is welcome to come any time. We went to the doctor yesterday and all is well and right on track. Dr. said that we now have entered the waiting stage....so I guess we'll do just that, wait :)
It's been kind of a busy/big week for us. Today was my last day of work which is so strange and has not hit me yet. The company I work for closes for the holidays today. It didn't seem like my last day because we were all saying our "goodbyes". But I am SO very thankful to be done. The days were starting to feel VERY long as I'm not really sleeping at night. So, bring on the time to rest....I'm ready for it!
Also, Josh switched Real Estate companies this week. There is a guy in a nearby town that opened his own branch and was offering MUCH better commission than Josh was getting at his other place. So he is now officially a Realtor under Dan Rader Real Estate as of Wednesday. Since the switch Josh has already been able to help a friend get a house under contract and list another house here in town....this is such a great move for us so it has been something we've been thankful for and celebrating all week.
Another exciting thing, a couple of friends here just had their baby girl, Elisa, last night. Our friends Greg and Carolyn have kind of been our "partners in pregnancy". Carolyn was 4 weeks ahead of me and they are our age and married for the same length of time as Josh and I. It has been fun to have someone to go through this experience with and we are SO excited to go meet their little one tonight. It makes me that much more excited to meet our daughter!!
Well, I hope you all are doing well. We will keep you updated as we have any updates to give. Just a heads up, my sister Holly is going to be sending out an "announcement" email when our little one does arrive so if you don't think I have your email and would like to be on that list...just let me know. Happy Friday to you all!
